UDAF Expert Network Participation Terms
Voluntary participation, agreed roles, rights and publication consent.
Voluntary participation
Participation is voluntary. An application does not create accepted affiliation, employment, NGO membership or an automatic right to payment. Paid and grant-funded work requires separate agreed terms.
Admission and roles
The process is application, basic identity and public-profile verification, expertise review, acceptance, acceptance of this version of the terms, separate public-profile consent and an agreed initial role. Checkbox submission alone grants no title.
Titles and affiliation
Use only the exact active title agreed with UDAF. Employment, membership, service, invited positions and research affiliation are distinct. UDAF does not replace a primary employer or university affiliation; secondary affiliation requires a real formalized relationship. A title does not authorize representation, public statements for UDAF or financial commitments.
Review and termination
A participant may end participation by writing to [email protected]. UDAF may review, change or end a role: notify the person of the reason and proposed change, allow a response, record the decision and effective date, and update the public record. Where publication creates an immediate privacy or security risk, visibility may be suspended pending review.
Authorship and rights
Authors retain authorship and their rights. Publication requires an individually agreed non-exclusive licence covering publication, online display, archiving, agreed editing, agreed translation and dissemination. Participation alone transfers no copyright. Commissioned or grant-funded work may have a separate contract.
Reviewing and conduct
Credit actual author, co-author, contributor and review work. A reviewer title requires a completed review. Record the material, date, review type and agreed public or private acknowledgement. Scientific, professional, technical and methodological reviews are distinct; ordinary editorial reading is not scientific peer review. Disclose conflicts and follow the Code of Conduct. Confidentiality obligations must be separately agreed.
Privacy and profile consent
Application data is used to assess the proposal; it is not automatically public. Before publication, we separately agree which details may be public: name, photo, biography, professional affiliation, profile links and UDAF role. Only agreed fields are shown. Private contact details, identifiers, documents and CVs are not published by default. Correction, withdrawal and deletion requests: [email protected].
Version and future legal structure
Version 0.1 — 8 September 2026. These are participation rules for the present initiative, not a public offer. Acceptance is recorded separately with the version and date after admission. If a legal entity is established, terms, privacy, IP, appointments and affiliations require review and, where needed, new acceptance. Expert Network participation is distinct from legal membership in a future NGO.
